On Father's Day weekend, the Ferrari Festival in Ottawa reached its grand finale as Italian Week wrapped up, and it was truly special to have Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, the crown prince of Italy, join the celebrations. "Having a member of the Italian royal family attend such a significant event wasn't just a big deal for the Italian community but for all of Ottawa," said Giuseppe Castrucci, Laurysen's Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
The Ferrari Club of America (FCA) - Ottawa Chapter members had the exclusive chance to meet the prince at intimate gatherings, while a luncheon was organized for all Ferrari owners, hosted by Italy's Ambassador Claudio Taffuri. There was also a gala dinner where both the prince and the ambassador were present.
"This year, Ambassador Claudio's schedule allowed him and his wife, Maria, to join us for the gala dinner we held in honor of Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia," Giuseppe mentioned. "It was an unforgettable evening filled with great company and fantastic entertainment."

About the Ferrari Festival
As one of the founding sponsors of this festival, Laurysen Kitchens has been actively involved for the past 13 years. "Over these years, we've managed to raise $150,000 for Villa Marconi, a long-term healthcare center for seniors within the Italian community," explained Giuseppe. Other charities that have benefited from this event include the Kidney Foundation and Ottawa Stem Cell Research.
The festival, which is open to the public, attracts over 200,000 spectators annually. It features a four-day extravaganza including stationary car displays on Preston Street, the Italian Car Parade, a demo zone, and a Father's Day Luncheon. Money is raised through Ferrari Dream Rides, where anyone can take a thrilling spin in a Ferrari. Additionally, a dinner party with live and silent auctions takes place on Saturday night.
"Everyone is always welcome," Giuseppe added. "It's a fantastic evening with delicious food, engaging conversations, and some incredible auction items."
