As of November 1, 2018, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be joining in on the Dollars for Stem Cells Fundraising Dinner for the Ottawa Hospital. This isn’t just any regular charity event—it’s a truly unique gourmet experience featuring three exceptional chefs, a blend of international flavors, and plenty of entertainment.
This annual event is meticulously organized by an impressive team of volunteers, led by our honorary chair, Tina Boileau. Tina’s son, Jonathan Pitre, known affectionately as “The Butterfly Boy,†has left an indelible mark on our community. His story has inspired countless people, and this dinner serves as a testament to his legacy.

Dollars for Stem Cells is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of progress and innovation. Each ticket costs $125, and the event takes place at the Infinity Convention Centre in Ottawa. Cocktails kick off at 6 PM, followed by dinner at 7:45 PM. Josie and Rush from Hot 89.9 will be hosting the evening, while Johnny Vegas will set the mood with live music during the cocktail hour.
This year, we’re lucky to have three talented chefs crafting a Mediterranean-inspired menu that caters to every palate. Each chef brings their own flair, drawing inspiration from Greek, Italian, and Lebanese cuisines. Lamb is the unifying ingredient across all dishes, offering a delicious nod to these diverse culinary traditions.
