As of November 1, 2018, I’m excited to share that I’ll be taking part in the Dollars for Stem Cells Fundraising Dinner benefiting the Ottawa Hospital. This isn’t just any charity event—it’s a unique gourmet experience featuring three renowned chefs, a fusion of international flavors, and plenty of entertainment.
Organized annually by a fantastic team of volunteers, this year’s event is chaired by Tina Boileau, whose son Jonathan Pitre, known as The Butterfly Boy, left an unforgettable mark on our community. Her dedication and heart continue to inspire everyone involved.
If you’re looking to join us for this unforgettable evening, tickets are available for $125 each, with all proceeds going towards advancing stem cell research at the Ottawa Hospital. The event kicks off with cocktails at 6 PM followed by dinner at 7:45 PM at the Infinity Convention Centre in Ottawa. Josie and Rush from Hot 89.9 will host the night, while Johnny Vegas will set the mood during the cocktail hour.
This year’s menu promises to be a delightful journey through Mediterranean cuisine, crafted by three exceptional chefs:
- Domenico Santacceo, a celebrity chef with a flair for Greek cuisine.
- Joe Barza, another celebrated chef bringing his expertise in Italian cooking.
- Nick Mamalis, a local talent from Ottawa specializing in Lebanese dishes.
