This is a maddening problem, but it is extremely simple to explain clearly, and as a user of CTP, it is also necessary to understand the "mystery" among them.

Let's first understand the exposure mechanism of the plate. An example of a Huaguang plate that we are all familiar with: Huaguang UV-P plate, suitable for UV-CTP positive plate. The positive pattern is a photodecomposition plate. The photosensitive layer is partially decomposed in the light and removed during development to form a non-graphic area (hydrophilic area), while the unexposed area is the printed graphic area (ink area). Thermal plates are similar. The positive pattern is suitable for commercial printing. Huaguang UV-N type plate material is suitable for UV-CTP negative type plate material. The negative type is photopolymerization / photocrosslinking plate. The photopolymerization / photocrosslinking of the photosensitive part of the photosensitive layer forms the printed graphic area , And the unexposed areas are removed during development, non-graphic areas. The negative pattern is suitable for packaging and printing.

To explain the above technical terms in vernacular, the positive plate (UV or thermal), the part hit by the laser is washed away to expose the aluminum base, corresponding to the fountain solution on the printing machine; the part that the laser does not touch , The coating is left on the plate, corresponding to the ink on the printing press. The causes of insufficient printing durability, printing plates falling off the screen, bad images, and inking are mostly comprehensive factors. In fact, it is not difficult to find the problem. Many incorrect production habits and errors in the production link can cause the above problems.

(1) Plate processor: Excessive flushing is the most common cause. The plate-making machine is not the "adjustment link" in the production process. Some customers use the density, temperature, and speed of the liquid to adjust the bottom ash when they see the bottom ash on the layout; in order to improve production efficiency

To increase the temperature of the processor and speed up the flushing process; to save costs, work hard from the chemical solution; in order to save money, save the running water and wash and avoid the need for protective glue. (2) Rinse multiple plates with one potion. Different plates have different anti-alkali parameters, which will inevitably lead to excessive flushing.

(3) Different calibration materials are output with the same calibration curve and the same focal length file.

(4) For the printing machine: the PH value of the fountain solution is too large, the physical wear of the printing plate is too large (rubber cloth, underlay, pressure, speed, paper), the cleaning paste is not used correctly, and the alcohol level is too large (involving the plate Wood alcohol resistance).

(5) The alkali resistance of the plate can be known through a simple rinse test. Take a plate directly into the processor and rinse it 2 to 3 times. If it becomes a white plate, you need to be careful.

(6) Tips: Try another brand of plate material; pay attention to see if the fixed printing factory or printing machine is always the problem.

(7) If your business requires high print durability or lacks machine time, and values ​​quality and quality very much, it is recommended to use a good plate processor, relatively stable plate materials, matching potions, and check the printing press fountain solution PH value, baked version.
