Japan's YuPo Launches Transparent PP Molded Inner Label

The transparent material can reflect the color of the container itself, so that the label and the container can be harmoniously combined to truly achieve the “no label” effect. The transparent in-mold label now solves the common problem of edging of the transparent PP and PE adhesive labels, reduces the cost for the relatively expensive bottle body screen printing, and has a better printing effect, and is also suitable for hot and cold bronzing. After the market, it is widely used in the daily chemical industry and packaging industry that focus on the appearance of containers. Taking into account the increasingly stringent cost control of its product containers, YuPo, a Japanese company, recently introduced a white "thin" high-light in-mold label. "Thin" materials perform better than high-gloss PP in-mold materials, which are widely used today, in terms of printability and molding effects. However, "thin" materials require higher stiffness to ensure that the printing, die-cutting and labeling processes can be completed successfully. The "thin" material gradually replaced the first generation of high-gloss in-mold materials. One of the reasons is that the user can reduce the cost of the label with almost no changes (no need to adjust the mold equipment and the printing process). The second reason is that the use of "thin" materials can increase the strength of the container. In terms of environmental protection and cost, more and more users use thinner or lighter containers, and combining “thin” materials allows thinner containers to also use in-mold labels and increase the strength of the containers.

The company's white "low-density" in-mold label also attracted the attention of its counterparts. "Low-density" materials have the following characteristics: First, the printing effect is good; Second, the molding speed is fast; Third, the molding equipment and molding conditions require less. Because of the low density of material flexibility and surface smoothness saddle, so the printing effect is good, but also because of its low density, the label shrinks with the bottle body during the container molding process, so for molding equipment and molding conditions Not harsh. The cooling time can be increased and the demoulding temperature can be higher, increasing the efficiency. Containers made of “low-density” materials, after cooling, have a phenomenon similar to that of orange peel, abbreviated as “orange peel” phenomenon, and some manufacturers call it “cloth surface” in-mold label. The “orange peel” material and the high gloss material have different appearances after molding, and it is generally not recommended to make changes on the original product. It is better to use this new material when developing new products, which has a refreshing effect. In Europe and the United States, "orange peel" materials are widely used in the chemical and food industries.
