Philips first introduced the initial package in China, including three smart LED bulbs, a bridge and a free app installed on a mobile phone or tablet. A bridge can support 50 bulbs simultaneously. APP can run on both iOS and Android platforms.

Shanghai Langmei and Jingdong technical team have cooperated, and the Rummei series of intelligent ceiling lamps developed by the company have realized intelligent lighting management through “JD+Smart Cloud” APP (Jingdong Weilian) with local WIFI and 2.4G wireless communication technology.

The development stage of intelligent lighting

The development of intelligent lighting has mainly gone through three stages:

(1) Energy-saving phase, which mainly completes the transition of incandescent lamps to LED lamps.

(2) The automatic control phase automatically realizes "appropriate brightness and color that meets the requirements at the right time" according to preset parameters (such as time, brightness, and color).

(3) In the intelligent control phase, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data and Internet of Things concepts are added on the basis of automatic control to realize remote intelligent control of lighting.

Basic analysis of mainstream intelligent lighting technology

The current smart lamps on the market mainly involve the following three aspects of technology.

1, dimming technology

The main method to adjust the luminous intensity of the LED chip is to change its average operating current. Changing the average operating current generally adopts the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) method, that is, the brightness modulation is realized by adjusting the proportion of time occupied by the high level of the power supply pulse.

The color control usually adopts the RGB (red, green and blue) light mixing method, that is, the different colors are mixed by changing the luminous intensities of the red (R), green (G) and blue (B) color LED chips. At present, mainstream lamps can bring out 16 million colors.

2. Control and network communication technology

Intelligent controllers are the heart of smart fixtures. Intelligent controllers are usually microprocessor-based with different network communication interfaces (such as WIFI, Zigbee, RS485, etc.). The intelligent controller receives user commands through a network communication interface and performs a series of actions according to the instructions to implement lighting control.

For example, changing the PWM values ​​of the red, green, and blue LED chip operating current control signals to obtain a new illumination color. The network used for smart lighting is usually referred to as the Internet of Things.

3. Cloud computing and big data technology

In order to achieve more complex and safer control, smart luminaires and users are usually not connected one-to-one, but through a cloud server. The user sends the control command to the cloud server through the mobile phone app, the WeChat platform, etc., and the cloud server performs corresponding processing according to the instruction, and then the control command is sent to the smart light fixture.

In addition to remote control, the cloud server can record the working status of the luminaire at any time, including switching time, duration, brightness and color, and even use big data ideas to achieve self-learning and better serve users.
