National key new product solar heat reflective coating

The solar heat reflective coating developed by Shandong Qingdao Institute of Marine Chemical Industry was listed by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a national key new product plan for 2003.
The research and development of this product is a national scientific and technological research project. It is independently developed by the Institute of Marine Chemical Industry and has applied for a national defense patent. In the coating, composite pigments were used instead of carbon black to solve the key problem of high infrared absorption of pigments. The dark gray, grass green, black heat-reflective deck paints and hull coatings prepared to fill the domestic gap. The product's thermal reflectivity to sunlight is more than 50%, and it can effectively prevent heat conduction. The cabin temperature of the painted ship can be reduced by 3 to 8°C, which effectively improves the working environment. The paint has been applied in the fields of building roofs, oil tanks, transportation, and shipbuilding repairs, and has a promising market.
