Several problems that are easy to ignore when outputting documents before printing

1. Have you considered the original proofing of the document?

Black and white laser prints or color proofs of the final document should be passed. If the document is transferred to the printing service provider via a telephone line and a modem, you should be sure to fax the laser printing proof or transfer the proof proof at the same time. Make sure that the proofs are obtained from the same electronic file delivered to the print service provider or printer.

If the page is too large to print the original large sample with the actual size, be sure to mark the reduction on the sample. Color printing should be printed on the laser printer color separation sample (black and white form). In addition to providing color proofs to printers, color separation proofs should also be provided, making sure that each color separation proof is correctly labeled with color. And check whether the color separation sample separation is correct and the number of color separations. If a black and white synthetic proof is provided, the parts printed in different colors should be clearly marked.

2. Have you converted all colors from RGB to CMYK mode?

If the image is not converted to yellow magenta and black mode in your electronic file, the printed image may be black and white or have unacceptable color cast.

Remember to name all colors in the file, and the image colors designed and introduced in the image processing program should also ensure that the same name is used exactly.

Unless you plan to print small color patches or common colors with spot color inks, you should definitely use the yellow magenta cyan setting mode for all colors. As long as the full page layout program allows, the small color block area should also switch the color mode.

3. Whether the characters used in printing are marked

The name, version, number, and font (TrueType or Postscript) of all characters should be marked, and you are sure that you are selecting the real characters from the character menu (such as GaramondBold), rather than selecting one such as "bold" from the style menu. style. At the same time, you should consult the prepress service provider or printer about the requirements of the character file. In some RIPs, the mutual interference between TrueType and Type1 Postscript characters can cause character substitution and string bits.

4. Is bleeding printing possible when needed?

It should be affirmed that all bleeding prints are extended to the edge of the page number as required by the printer. It is very convenient to realize image bleeding in the whole page layout program, but it is relatively time-consuming and expensive when printing.

5. Are all precautions marked?

The name, address and contact number should be clearly written on the disk, portable media, printed proofs and proofs. In short, all documents or media delivered to the printing service provider or printer should be clearly marked. At the same time, you should send a list of all the documents or media you have delivered to the printing service provider or printer.
