β-amylase / 1,4-α-D-glucan malt hydrolase / glycogenase / glycated amylase / β-Amylase

English name: β-Amylase from soybean; 1,4-α-D-Glucan maltohydrolase
Other names: 1,4-α-D-glucan malt hydrolase; glycogenase; glucoamylase
CAS number: 9000-91-3

Level: BioChemika
Molecular weight: 57000
Vitality: ≥17u / mg
Definition of vitality: One unit will liberate reducing sugars corresponding 1mg glucose from potato starch for 10min at 40 ℃, pH5.5
Properties: yellow brown or brown powder. Extracted from soybeans, soluble in water and dilute buffer, almost insoluble in ethanol. Enzyme reaction: starch (soluble) + nH2O = n maltose + dextrin. Isoelectric point (pI) 4.77. Absorption coefficient (E1% 280) 12.3. Inhibitors include cyclohexyl-amylose, methyl-α-glucoside, thiol reagents (4-chloromercuric benzoic acid, iodoacetamide), heavy metal ions (Cu2 +, HG2)
Uses: biochemical research. Can break down amylose into maltose. The combined production of trans-glycanase and isomaltose oligosaccharides (IMO50, IMO90) is superior to fungal enzymes. Combined with pullulanase can produce ultra-high maltose. Storage: 2 ~ 8 ℃
