Printing ink adhesive volatile poison characterization and detection (in)

2.2 Test Results of Toxic Substances in Workplace Air

2.2.1 Culture and Education Printing Factory This factory uses Tianjin Jingying brand printing ink in the advertising printing production process, and uses 7013 glue in the film production process. Butanone and xylene were not detected in the air of the printing workplace, and the detected isopropanol concentration was lower than the minimum detected concentration (0.0015 mg/m3). The toxic substance, vinyl acetate, was detected in the air of the coated workplace with a TWA value (time weighted average) of 46 mg/m3 and a STEL value (short-term exposure limit) of 55 mg/m3, both exceeding the national occupational health standard “Workplaces”. Harmful Occupational Exposure Limits.

2.2.2 Youth Printing Factory This factory uses Taiyuan Offset Transfer printing ink in the printing production process of newspapers. A small amount of benzene, toluene, xylene, ethyl acetate and solvent gasoline can be detected in the air of newspaper printing workplaces, and their concentrations are lower than the national occupational health standard “Occupation Exposure Limits for Harmful Factors in the Workplace”.

2.3 The qualitative results of volatile toxic substances in inks and adhesives are compared with those of toxic substances detected in the air in the workplace. According to the table, 2-butanone, isopropanol, xylene, and 2-butanone oxime were detected qualitatively in Jingying brand printing inks produced in Tianjin. Only isopropanol was detected in the workplace, but butanone was not detected. Toluene; 7013 qualitative vinyl acetate detection, vinyl acetate found in the workplace; Taiyuan offset printing ink qualitative analysis did not detect volatile toxic substances, workplace detection of benzene, toluene, xylene, acetate B Ester and solvent gasoline.

2.4 The test results of toxic substances in the air of workplaces of culture, education, printing and youth printing plants are shown in Table 2, Figure 4 and Figure 5. It can be seen from the chart that in addition to the concentration of vinyl acetate in the laminating machine operation exceeding the national hygienic standard, the concentration of other toxic substances detected in the operation position of the ad printing press and the upper operation tower of the newspaper printing press is lower than the hygienic standard. TWA values are all less than 4% of the sanitary standard value, and STEL values are all less than 6% of the hygienic standard value.
