Invention Title: Rotary Printing Machine Patent Application Number Abstract: A rotary printing press includes a printing unit, a folding machine, a tension regulating roller, a motor, a tension detecting unit, and a control unit. The printing unit prints on the web fed by the take-up roller. The folder folds up the printed web supplied on the print unit. The tension regulating roller retreats or comes close to the web transport belt between the printing unit and the folding machine to contact with the web when the printing and the printing plate are fixed. The motor drives the take-up roller in the take-off direction and in the winding direction, respectively. The tension detection unit detects the tension in the web between the take-up roller and the print unit. In the printing plate installation process, the control unit controls the motor based on the detection results of the tension detection unit.
