The Blancpain Movement Factory is one of the few brands worldwide that designs, develops, manufactures, assembles, and sells its own watches entirely in-house. In 2010, the FP Movement Factory, now known as Blancpain Movement, joined the brand, further strengthening its independent production capabilities. Located in Le Sentier, the factory houses R&D teams and workshops where hundreds of skilled employees work together to develop, manufacture, and test unique timepieces. Over the years, Blancpain has introduced numerous innovative movements, including the Caliber 1315, known for its precision and performance; the ultra-thin Caliber 1150; the revolutionary Caliber 1185, renowned for its stability and compatibility; and the long-lasting Caliber 242, which offers a 12-day power reserve. In contrast to the modernized production at the movement factory, Le Brassus remains a sanctuary of traditional craftsmanship. This historic workshop continues the age-old methods of Swiss watchmaking, preserving techniques passed down through generations. Le Brassus is home to some of the most complex watchmaking processes, including tourbillons, carrousels, and perpetual calendars. It also hosts rare crafts like gold engraving, micro-painting, and gem-setting. The 1735 Workshop, for instance, produces one of the most complicated watches ever made, requiring two master watchmakers to complete just one per year. The polishing and gold carving workshops showcase the skill and dedication of artisans who spend hours perfecting tiny details.
