Once the bearing comes into contact with water, the lubricant becomes emulsified, which significantly reduces its lubricating properties. This can lead to poor lubrication of the backup roller, causing issues such as rust and abnormal wear. As a result, the oil film bearing operates under suboptimal conditions, negatively impacting production efficiency and increasing maintenance costs.
To ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the equipment, two key measures are taken. First, the sealing system of the oil film bearing is improved to prevent water ingress. Second, a Guangxi lampblack purifier is used in conjunction with a vacuum oil purifier to separate any water that has entered the system, thereby reducing the moisture content in the oil.
The vacuum oil purifier works based on the difference in boiling points between water and oil under a specific vacuum condition. Contaminated oil is drawn into the system by an oil suction pump. A temperature sensor then checks the oil’s temperature against a preset value. If the temperature is below the set point, an infrared heater activates to warm the oil.
If the temperature is already above the set point, the heater remains off, and the heated oil flows into the oil-water separation chamber and the vacuum separation chamber. These chambers are sealed and maintained under vacuum by a vacuum pump, creating an environment where the boiling points of water and oil are significantly reduced.
In this low-pressure environment, water evaporates more easily than oil because its boiling point is lower. The moisture and gaseous impurities in the contaminated oil are thus separated from the oil. The clean oil, along with the vaporized water and gases, moves into the vacuum separation chamber for further purification before being returned to the system. This process ensures that the oil remains clean and effective, maintaining the performance and longevity of the equipment.
