1. User needs

We are a university with 125 classrooms. Due to the decoration environment, the reception of foreign language radio signals is unstable, and the local radio management committee does not approve high-power FM transmitters for wireless transmission. This seriously affects our school ’s foreign language listening teaching and grades 4 and 6. examination.

In order to completely change the predicament of foreign language listening teaching and examination in our college, we decided to build a foreign language listening system that can use wired transmission and wireless forwarding in the classroom. At present, we need to broadcast 4 foreign language listening programs at the same time.

Beijing Haite Weiye Technology Co., Ltd. has designed a set of multi-channel foreign language listening wireless forwarding system for improving the foreign language listening transmission of our country according to the current foreign language listening test and training requirements of China's colleges and universities, combined with the campus foreign language listening needs and development directions. The system adopts wired transmission and wireless answering methods. It does not need to apply for the frequency to the local radio management committee. 2. System features

The foreign language listening wireless forwarding system is specially developed for schools and has unique functions and unparalleled advantages that traditional foreign language radio stations do not have. The details are as follows.

1.1 System function:

Automatic playback function: The system can broadcast up to 1-12 foreign language programs through multi-channel audio playback software, and can realize manual and automatic timing playback. Users can store the English programs to be played commonly used in all grades on the hard disk to achieve fully automatic nonlinear broadcast. You can also pre-set the day, week, month, and year playlists to automatically broadcast foreign language songs, foreign language news, foreign language teaching programs, and other unattended broadcasts.

Common cable transmission function: simultaneous transmission of up to 12 sets of programs can be transmitted at the same time, fully meeting the needs of foreign language listening teaching and free listening, using frequency division multiplexing common cable transmission mode. Closed-circuit television, campus broadcasting, and the use of a coaxial cable for common cable transmission do not require rewiring.

Wireless forwarding function: The classroom uses a wireless repeater to micro-power wirelessly forward the foreign language listening programs transmitted in the closed-circuit TV. There is no need to apply for frequency, and multiple sets of programs with large capacity are forwarded at the same time. Students can listen through wireless headphones and radio in the classroom.

2.2 System characteristics:

Digital audio source: The system uses multi-channel audio broadcasting system software, so that the audio source is not limited to the traditional analog audio source, and can use MP3, CD, MIDI, WAVE and other audio formats as needed, and can make full use of foreign language listening audio in the Internet Resources, expanding the channel of teaching resources.

Automated broadcast: According to the needs of college foreign language listening teaching and examinations, the specially designed and developed playback software can achieve up to 12 sets of audio sources to set the playback time according to various modes, automatic timing playback, and automatic switch on and off.

Intelligent control: The programmable power controller can control the switch of the power supply of the FM modulator according to the broadcast time through the setting of multi-channel audio broadcasting software, so as to achieve intelligent power-saving control.

Free expansion: Because the signal adopts FM frequency carrier weak signal transmission, the wireless repeater only needs to meet the level requirements for receiving and forwarding, so that the system has a lot of room for expansion. Adding forwarding equipment is only necessary to connect to the CCTV network nearby, no need to lay cables.

3. Multi-channel foreign language listening wireless forwarding system scheme design

3.1 System composition

The system adopts the "digital broadcast, common cable transmission, wireless forwarding, FM reception" working mode. The digital hard disk broadcast host (dedicated industrial control computer PC) and HX-8000 digital hard disk multiplex automatic playback software, FM modulator, It consists of a frequency mixer, a broadband repeater, a FM receiver radio, and headphones (see Figure 1 for the schematic diagram).

3.2 Front-end and signal source part: the front-end broadcasts multi-channel digital foreign language listening programs, analog program sources (DVD, dual deck, digital tuner), FM-1500 FM modulator, audio matrix exchange by multi-channel audio broadcasting system software Components, adjacent frequency mixers, trunk amplifiers, cabinets, etc.

3.3 Transmission method:

Signal common cable transmission: Multi-channel foreign language listening programs adopt the original closed-circuit television network and closed-circuit television signal for common cable transmission.

Wireless forwarding and listening: The classroom uses a wireless repeater to micro-power wirelessly forward the received multi-channel foreign language listening programs, so as to achieve no blind area coverage in the classroom listening.

3.4 Terminal receiving equipment and listening method: students use wireless headphones or radio to listen.
