The Causes and Elimination of Common Faults of Wireless Binding in Digital Printing

1. Bad behind the book block milling

1. The book blocks are not neat or placed unevenly, so make sure that each piece of paper is put to the end.

2. When the book block is back milled, the amount of back milling is too small. The book holder should be lowered to make the milling depth 1.5-2.5mm (small milling cutter).

3. The position of the milling cutter cover is not suitable. When it is opened, it is not parallel, and the opening is insufficient or too large. The milling cutter cover should be reinstalled, or the cover rubber wheel with severe wear should be replaced.

4. The cutter is damaged or not sharp, and a new cutter should be replaced.

5. The slotted small sharp knife is too high or too low, the angle is incorrect, the small sharp knife is blunt, the angle of the small sharp knife is adjusted correctly, and the small milling knife is replaced.

2. Uneven glue on the back of the book

1. The gap between the scraping film surrounding the upper rubber roller and the upper rubber roller is not uniform, adjust to make it even.

2. The position of the rubber scraper is too high or too low, the height should be adjusted correctly.

3. The glue roller is beating, the one-way bearing is worn out, replace the bearing.

4. If the glue roller does not move, the unidirectional bearing may be damaged or replaced.

5. The glue in the glue pot is not melted enough or the temperature setting of the glue pot is not suitable. [next]

3. Poor side glue application

1. Too much or too little side glue, adjust the gap between the glue roller and scraping film to 0.5-0.8mm.

2. Too much or too little side glue, adjust the height of the rubber scraper.

3. Check whether the glue roller does not rotate or the rotation is not flexible.

4. Bad upper seal

1. The indentation of the cover is misaligned, and the indentation should be correct.

2. The cover is skewed, ensure that the cover is properly placed, and the positioning pins and positioning magnets on both sides should be close to the cover.

3. The cover itself is not flat or cut unevenly.

V. Bad package book

1. The book is straight at one end and rounded at one end. The book block clamp (carriage) has insufficient clamping force. During milling, the book block is tilted and adjusted. Adjust the book block clamp.

2. Check whether the book block is laid flat, and whether it is lifted off or pressed on the table surface after clamping. If there is, remove the book block board and stick compensation tape on the inside to make this phenomenon eliminated.

3. The book is straight on one side and arc on the other, and the clamping plate on the table is tight and loose on the other side, and calibrate the position of the clamping plate.

4. The back of the book is wrinkled. The cover may be too thin or the book block may be poorly milled.

5. The back of the book is wrinkled. It may be that the pressure of the folder is set too high, or the pressure of the pallet is too large. Check carefully to eliminate the problem. [next]

6. Book degumming and loose pages

1. The milling depth of the book block is not enough, and the pages are not completely milled into a single page, which causes the book to be degummed and loose. The milling depth should be increased.

2. The temperature of the hot melt adhesive is too low, and the poor fluidity and permeability of the glue cause degumming and loose pages of the book. The hot melt adhesive should be heated to 170-180 ℃.

3. The thickness of the hot-melt adhesive on the back of the book is too thin to cause the degumming and loose pages of the book. The thickness of the back adhesive should be controlled, generally 0.6-2mm.

4. Improper use of hot-melt adhesive models may cause degumming and loose pages of books. Choose a hot-melt adhesive that matches the model, season and paper.

5. The paper inside the book block is too thick, covered with film, or paper that is not sticky at all to use wireless glue.

7. The back of the book is not square

1. Use a non-sharp milling cutter to mill the back, causing the back of the book to be square, and replace the sharp milling cutter.

2. The uneven glue application causes the back of the book to be square. The glue application mechanism should be adjusted to make the glue application even.

3. Improper tortoise setting mechanism will cause the back of the book to be square, and the tortoise setting mechanism should be adjusted.

8. The cover is uneven and the cover lines are obvious

1. The amount of side glue is too large, causing the cover to be uneven, the cover bar lines are obvious, adjust the amount of glue.

2. After the cover film is too thin, it is shrunk and deformed by hot melt adhesive, so a certain thickness of the cover should be ensured.

3. The paper grain direction of the book block is perpendicular to the direction of the spine, resulting in poor formation of the spine and distortion of the cover.
