(1) Improving the printing quality of background inks The printing quality of background inks is the basis for improving the printing quality of gold and silver inks. The drying of the background ink should be based on the combination of penetration and conjunctiva. The viscosity and drying performance of the colored ink layer can not only be firmly combined with the surface of the printed material, but also firmly adhere to the gold (silver) powder to obtain a good fixing force. It is best to use black, blue, dark red, purple, dark green ink for the background ink of gold printing.
(2) Prevent darkening and powdering of gold and silver To avoid darkening the color of gold ink and silver ink, it is not advisable to use acidic syrup when wetting the gold and silver in offset printing. Usually:
a Alcohol wetting liquid: isopropyl alcohol 20% peach gum 5% water 5%
b Gum-like wetting fluid: peach gum 15% water 85%
In addition, in order to prevent the gold and silver ink from coming into contact with air or other chemical elements and falling off, after printing the gold, silver ink and other colors, overprint the varnish or cover the printed product again.
(3) Increase the printing pressure and the pressure of the inking roller and the printing plate appropriately. The structure of gold ink, gold powder and silver powder in silver ink is generally sheet-shaped. The transfer performance of gold and silver ink is worse than that of ordinary offset printing ink. To make gold powder and silver powder transfer to the surface of the substrate smoothly and evenly, and to compact and flatten, the printing pressure and roller pressure should be appropriately larger, so that not only can avoid gold , Silver ink exposed bottom and other faults, and enhance the printing effect of gold and silver ink.
(4) The printing speed should not be too high. The printing speed should not be too high when printing gold and silver. The speed of the printing machine is too high. In the transfer process of gold and silver inks, it is easy to paste, brush and other phenomena. In addition, the speed is too high. The high temperature causes the ink roller to heat up, the oxidation of gold and silver ink becomes black, and the transfer performance is poor.
