The exposer has an exposure roller for supporting the printing plate and an exposure head support. The support consists of a support plate for supporting the exposure head and a support base. The bracket plate and the bracket base are connected by a hinge so that the hinge can be arranged on the front side of the exposure head bracket facing the exposure roller. A deflection drive assembly is used to raise or lower the rear side of the carriage plate so that the exposure heads move in common with or away from the exposure roller. The hinge preferably consists of at least one spring steel plate.
